My name is Jackie Marko and I am a South Dakota native now based in Kansas City. I am primarily a traveling wedding and engagement photographer, but I also love capturing the life happening around me, namely family and friends. I graduated from Benedictine College in 2019 with degrees in Art and Theology, with my emphasis in Photography. I have dreams of working for the Church by bringing her people in through beauty.
So that’s my mission — to show you the beauty Christ has shown me! And photography is my way of doing that.
I come from a long line of photographers so I grew up surrounded by photos, but I love dabbling in different mediums. I really enjoy linocut printmaking, drawing, and bookbinding. I’m pretty serious about my photography, but other than that I don’t take life too seriously! I have a pretty loud laugh, I bake and garden, I’ll lose my mind over a fun pair of earrings, and I deeply believe La Croix is incredible.
Portraiture is easily my favorite to shoot and the only thing that tops that is photographing a bride on her wedding day. I mean come on, she’s wearing an incredible dress and she’s glowing with love and beauty- yeah that’s kind of my dream to capture!
During my seven years of shooting I’ve learned to roll with the punches, have fun in the craziness, and make moments last through photography.
Hey!! My name is Rachel Hockel and I'm Jackie's Project Planner! I'm from St. Louis, MO, but currently live in southern Virginia with my Air Force husband. I'm a graphic designer, student of Beauty, and run my own lil creative business when I'm not working with Jackie.
As Jackie's Project Planner, I handle a bulk of her client communication and admin work, as well as website upkeep and IG content creation. You'll hear from me when scheduling calls and engagement shoots, and I'll be your point of contact for any questions you'll have during your wedding planning process!
Jackie shot my wedding in 2022, so as a recent bride, I have a pretty good idea of what the wedding planning process is like— I know it can be a lot! It's my goal to take as much off of your shoulders during this busy season of engagement so you can be as present to your heart and your fiancé as possible.
